1975 BMW R75/6

A serious motorcycle for those who really know their stuff….  The R75/6 ran a five-speed transmission and front disc brakes as opposed to the drum brakes and 4-speed of the outgoing /5.

Our BMW R75/6 is expertly-finished in Bol D’or Red; a handsome period colour and really befitting this bike.  Every inch a mid-70’s tourer, the high riding position, unbridled engineering excellence and sheer mass of intricate engine and fins beneath you are quite something.

Some £2,600 was invested in 2010 with Andrew Sexton BMW Motorcycle Service for a full engine and gearbox rebuild, completed at 18,558 miles.  The mileage now stands at just 23,115.   Our R75/6 boasts a full tool kit, air pump, Bing carburetors, Keihan SS silencers and many factory extras, including; twin disc conversion, time and volt meter, deep sump and heated grips – This was like witchcraft in 1975!

It benefits from having just been fully serviced including oil and air filters, points and condenser.  It also has nearly-new tyres and battery, and unusually, ours retains its original well-padded seat with grab rail unlike so many where the seat has sagged or torn and been forced to be replaced.

It’s now increasingly rare to find unmolested examples in ‘ready-for-the-road’ condition like this.  Come and see for yourself….
