1964 Volvo Amazon 122S **SOLD**

We are always pleased to offer ‘cars with a purpose’ and this one’s a proven tool for rally success in the right hands….   During its last campaign on the RAC Rally in November 2019 this car achieved a Class Win on what is widely considered the toughest five-day forest rally.  Not an easy task to achieve.

Our Volvo 122S is a lefthand drive variant, perfect for rallies in Europe, and looks very handsome in red with a cream roof.  It houses a potent 1,800cc engine, professionally rebuilt in 2018 with fast-road cam, 4-2-1 manifold and twin SU carburettors.

This is a fully prepared rally car with FIVA identity card, RAC logbook and FIA Historic Vehicle Identity Form.   In 1997 this two-door saloon was the subject of a bare-metal shell rebuild by Pip Carotte Ltd which incorporated uprated suspension and 4.88 final drive with limited slip differential.  Further works in 2009 included complete rewiring with relays and fuses, with full electrical drawing included with the car.  Since this time, the car has been fettled and tweaked to become a very handy rally entrant, as proven.
