So I’m clear, just how far into January is it reasonable to continue to wish Happy New year? In case I’ve missed the window, please rest assured that despite my not actually saying the words on the 1st January it was in my thoughts….
At least by writing to you all now we’re ahead of the Arizona Auctions which are about to kick-off and indicate for us just what the collector car market may have in store for us in 2017, even allowing for the imbalance between the glitzy halo auctions across the pond and the reality of pounds, shillings and pence in the market as we know it in Britain and mainland Europe.
It almost feels obscene that here I am scouring auction catalogues with guide prices that read like telephone numbers and all I can deduce is that a ‘proper’ car like a 1955 Mercedes Gullwing actually looks ‘value’ compared to some of the premiums being applied to Enzo’s, Veyron’s and sadly even F50’s which don’t come close to evoking the same feeling from the true Classic Car enthusiast.
Still, if you happen to have a Gullwing which you’re considering parting with why not call me and let’s test my theory together?…
Meanwhile, back on planet earth in a drizzly North Yorkshire we’re pleased to report that despite many customers and clients still battling the tail end of this horrible bug which destroyed so many festive breaks, we’ve begun hosting viewings on cars and the appointment book is filling up. If there is a car amongst our existing stock which has caught your interest, please don’t hesitate to make contact and we’ll be pleased to tell you all you need to know.

On to the good stuff….
We’ve recently acquired as part of a deal a rather handsome 2002 Bentley Arnage Red Label. A very good condition and commanding car with a little over just 50,000 miles and benefitting from a fresh major service & bill of health from respected marque specialists. Offered in the charming colour combination of Dark Blue coachwork with luxurious Grey leather interior, acres of polished wood and plush carpets, this is a fine motorcar in all-round good order.
It’s been retail-prepped, but I’ve held off launching the car for two reasons. Firstly, it’s not our intention to regularly stock post-2000 Bentley’s so why start now, and secondly, I think these offer such a lot of motor car for the money I fancy it may be suited to an auction….
Before I pull the trigger and commit the car to a February sale if any of you reading this want to swoop in and buy what to my mind is a £25,990 Bentley for just £22,000 then I’m open to a deal…. Imagine that? A Bentley Arnage Red Label for just £22,000…..!
Other smashing cars on offer include our gorgeous former Earls Court Motor Show 1963 Bristol Type 408, 1980 Lotus Sunbeam “Essex” with fascinating history and stylish 1978 Fiat 130 Coupé with orange velour interior to die for and warranted sub 19,000 miles.
