A fine month for fine cars….

After a flurry of sales in August we’re delighted to welcome some fresh cars into stock as we continue to enjoy what we anticipate will be an extended motoring season this year, thanks in no small part to the fine weather.  Even here in North Yorkshire we’re enjoying blue skies and sunshine, not that I’ve ever needed bright weather as an excuse to wear my shorts!…

Amongst our new arrivals are a beautifully restored and significant Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, made famous during the 1980/81 Formula One seasons when this car provided transport to the many VIP’s attending the David Thieme funded “Team Essex” corporate hospitality.  With just one-owner from new and close to £60,000 of recent restoration this really is a special car.

Sharing the plaudits are our gorgeous 18,000 miles from new, Pininfarina designed and right hand drive Fiat 130 Coupe from 1978 which boasts the most impressive original interior we’ve ever seen!  Check out all the pictures on our website.  Here you’ll also see our 1992 Bentley Turbo R which is a one-owner car with fewer than 55,000 miles and receipts totaling more than £20,000 to make it the very best available.  This accompanies our brand new last-of-line Land Rover Defender 90 in Landmark trim which has just 59 miles from new!  At just £49,990 this offers a potentially unrepeatable opportunity….

Not a motorcar, but an impressive registration number nonetheless; a past client of ours has asked us to help in re-homing his private registration, “R 250”.  We anticipate this to be worth something in the order of £22,000 – £25,000, but, we’re open to sensible offers if you fancied that number on your Ferrari 250 Lusso or SWB?

If you have a car which you think could benefit from being marketed and presented by MCC to our audience of active car-buyers then we currently have capacity at our secure saleroom for a selection of interesting and desirable motor cars, and would be pleased to hear from you to discuss further….

As always, I’m pleased to offer alternative services to buying and selling which include vehicle sourcing, vehicle inspections, valuations, and through my Landlord at York Classic Car Storage, we can even help you to house your classic car in a purpose-built facility.  See www.yorkcarstorage.co.uk

Further, I continue to offer consultancy and consign motorcars to several of the auction houses, (though primarily Silverstone Auctions), and it is with them that I shall be attending their Porsche Sale in mid-October and their season-ending NEC Classic Motor Show sale in mid-November. If you have a notable classic car which you think may be better suited to an auction audience, or you just don’t know what to do, then don’t hesitate to talk to me and I’ll be pleased to offer my advice.
